Har Gow, or crystal shrimp dumpling is a delicious Cantonese dumpling commonly served in Dim Sum. Main ingredients include wheat starch, tapioca starch, shrimp, cooked pork fat, bamboo shoots, scallions, cornstarch, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, and other seasonings (Wikipedia). One of my favorite restaurabts to eat this at is Shanghai You Garden, but sometimes I buy them frozen from the local Asian Market. I really want to try making these homemade one day!! The delicate chewy wrappers and juicy fragrant shrimp seem like a fun challenge.
Tembleque is a delicious coconut flavored Puerto Rican Dessert.
